Dr Bekar completed his medical degree in 2007 at the University of Sheffield in the UK with Distinction in the Special Study Project. He completed training in various specialties to gain general exposure to medicine and surgery, and completed his General Practice training in Yorkshire in the UK. He moved to Perth in 2016 and has been working here ever since.

He enjoys all aspects of general practice including child health, pregnancy care, mental health, chronic diseases, care of the elderly, musculoskeletal and sports medicine. He is currently training to perform minor skin surgery.

He loves travelling, reading, cooking and playing sports.
